You can also look here for a blog overview of what it means to chart with the moon! Here’s a preview:

Our cycles perfectly mimic the moon cycles. In fact, the moon’s energy has created our natural monthly cycle. Thousands of years ago, (before the invention of indoor lights…) women and menstruators cycled together. They would bleed with the new moon all together in a tent. Their duties within the tribe would be taken over by older tribe members and men. The Tribe valued the insight they would come back with. Sometimes as they bled together they would have visions of disease or famine, or food sources in other areas. The tribes recognized that women and menstruator’s intuition is heightened when they are bleeding. Over time, and with the invention of lights our menstrual cycles shifted.

Since the moon energy affected the timing of the menstrual cycle folks who do not have their own cycle can follow the moon instead! You can use this system if you are irregular, pregnant, breastfeeding, in peri-menopause or are postmenopausal. You can also use this system if you don’t have a period for other reasons.

Using the moon cycles as a guide is a beautiful framework to help you get plugged back into the cycle! You can create with ease using the cycle of creation and plug into the energies that support each of those creation steps!

Just know that with unpredictable hormonal changes your energy levels may not line up exactly, and you may still feel thrown off with a tired day, hot flashes, or whatever happens to come up for you. Even with these feelings you can still tap into the cycle of creation, and use the tasks from the corresponding phase.
