Menstrual

(Inner Winter) Approximate Cycle Days 1-7

The menstrual phase is the start of your cycle. Cycle day 1 is the first day of your bleed. This phase ends when your bleeding ends. Anywhere beentween Cycle days 3 to 7.

Q. Does spotting before your period count?

A. No. We consider the first day of the cycle the first day of bleeding.

Follicular

(Inner Spring) Approximate Cycle Days 8-12

The follicular phase starts when your bleeding is finished and lasts up until a couple days before ovulation.

Ovulation

(Inner Summer) Approximate Cycle Days 13-15

Ovulation happens in the middle of your cycle. Ovulation occurs around day 14 in a 28 day cycle. We like to count a couple days before and a couple days after as our ovulation phase.
